Handsome

Occasionally I torment myself and look at horses for sale. I saw the ad for this fellow today. I actually started to get teary eyed. He is just so handsome and I love the look in his eye. Maybe too short for me but I so wish I could try riding him.

"Risk"

Somebody take this black beauty home. He looks like he will be a winner.

Horse shopping online is so fun :)

Nicku - I looked at the gray, too. Cute but I'm really trying to stay away from grays after the heartache I had with Monty and the melanoma. :/

Horse shopping is fun but also disappointing. They are never what they appear to be when you see them (or try riding them) in person.

Oh my, he is a beauty.

Actually, size can be relative. My Chance is only about 15.3 but he fits me about the same as my 16.1 TB and just as well as nearly 17.0 h Tucker, my big boy.

I do know, however, that you are tall and need some size under you, but a bog bodied horse of smaller stature might be OK.

At this point in my career, disposition has started to trump size and even competitive talent. It's so nice to just be able to ride and relax on a "solid brained" horse. *S*

Oh, I love him too!!! That's exactly what I want. The horse I am riding right now is a lot like him. DEAD broke and honest.

Hope you go see him!

Is he close enough that you could at least go take a look? I am only asking because he does seem adorable and also because his name is RISK!!! No matter what you next horse is like you are going to be risking your heart to get them so the name seems fitting.

He is local, only about a half hour or so away. My husband surprised me and already called the horse dealer. She remembers me from my horse show days. This woman has been selling horses for over 20 years. She completely understands the kind of horse I'm looking for. My husband coaxed me to call her back today and maybe we'll go see this horse and whatever else she has for sale this weekend.

What great news!! What l love the best, though, is that your hubby is coaxing you and supporting you in this. What an amazing man to care so much. Give him an extra hug when you get a chance.

I LOVE your husband. If I give you his phone number do you think your husband could call and give my husband lessons? (*grins*)

Wow! I just came back and read all the comments. I too think your husband is a keeper. I hope you write about what you've seen. How is your recovery going?
