Thanks for sharing that.It looks amazing. There is a memorial in London which I wish to visit one day, to all the animals who served in wars. Horses, dogs, camels, carrier pigeons. People can do great things, they do them better with animals.
Man...you got me all excited that it WAS coming state side. Maybe in a few years? If it does I will meet you at the theater because it looks amazing! I have to go!
Interestingly enough, I read a book called "War Horse" when I was a girl, but it was about a cowboy and his horse conscripted when the U.S. entered WW I.
Wonder if the play will make it to the Left Coast when it comes to the States?
“Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of Solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
"A good horse is worth more than riches." - Spanish Proverb
"Feel the Fear - Do it Anyway" - Susan Jeffers
RIDE FOR HER!
Somewhere behind the rider you've become, The trainers who pushed you, The people who believed in you, The long hours of schooling, The falls you've taken, The ribbons you didn't win, The tears and broken bones, And the horses you've given your heart to, Is the little girl who fell in love with the sport And never looked back. Ride for her!

Check out the other links, OnTheBit! It is slated for US arrival in 2011!!! They are scouting theater locations now!
Wow!! Even I might go to the City (NY) for that. Apparently they need a big stage, so are scouting around. Those puppets are amazing.
The story sounds pretty powerful as well. I need to read the book.
