Troxel just came out with this new Ruby red color on this model helmet. I know it's totally non-traditional and don't know if I could see myself actually wearing one but I am LOVING this RED! Maybe a new helmet will motivate me back into the saddle...

I love it too! I am thinking about getting an inexpensive helmet with air vents for the summer and I do love red...
Who cares about traditional - if you like it, buy it! Like you said, little things like this can make you happy. I've had luck with the Troxels myself - they're comfortable in the summer.

Kate - ah, I do occasionally have my, "tradition be damned" moments. And while I enjoy it for a brief time, why do those purchases always seem to be on my table at the swap meet next year? LOL! That's where that pair of red chrome spurs wound up after I just HAD to have them!

Once Upon an Equine - While those little paddock boots are actually kind of cute, those Tretorn tall boots are just,... erm, scary in the red or the black!!
It's not bad if you like red,they must come in a bunch of different colors and you could get one color for each outfit.
The Tetron price is scary too. $600.00!! I think they are popular in Europe.
I saw this in a magazine a couple days ago, and I think it's gorgeous. :) It wouldn't go with my purple and green stuff, but I love that rich color. Who cares if it's nontraditional? I'd go for it.

The Troxels don't fit me as well as other brands but I certainly do love the looks of them.
I love jeweltones so like it too. Heck you won't wear it in a show so why not?
