Okay, I'm not all caught up in Royal wedding fever but I did want to check out Kate's dress. Loved that it was an Alexander McQueen, one of my favorite designers. When watching the snippet of video I saw this!
SO, how many of the horse folks in the audience caught this one?

Oh my! Wonder what happened. Hard to see if he had a saddle on. Was there a guardsman on the ground or was that a stray from somewhere....gotta look into this one.
Found out....the horse fell down and threw his rider. The "Blue" guardsman tried to hold on to the reins, but the horse broke free and bolted through the procession. Some of the other guardsman caught him.
Apparently, neither horse nor rider were injured. Thank goodness.
NBC had a picture of the horse and rider as they fell. Apparently the horse 'tripped' (on what? It was a paved road!) and then slipped.
But I didn't know what occurred after.
Just goes to show that even in the most organized and controlled event, if there horses involved, things can and often do, go wrong. oops!

Doesn't take much for a horse to lose their footing on a paved road, especially if they're wearing metal shoes.

Horse and rider will never live it down. They will forever be "That Pair"
Glad there were no injuries.
I posted a snap of the horse slipping to his haunches, but I didn't see the aftermath like you did. Glad they are both fine.
I was sure I saw a glimpse of a loose horse but nobody mentioned it and I didn't see any other footage of it.
Guess I didn't imagine it after all.
They will take some grief over that.
I saw it happen live. It was early in the morning here,(Canada)so I thought maybe I dreamed the whole thing. LOL Glad to see it was confirmed on video.

Hello! I saw it, too. Slowed down the TIVO replay to make sure. Still wasn't sure I hadn't dreamed it, so Googled it to see if any one else had noticed, and lo and behold, others did. Thank you!
